Palak Paneer, Spinach cooked with Cottage Cheese




Ingredients:


Paneer (Cottage Cheese) 200 gms.

Spinach (palak) 2 bunches

Onion 1 large

Tomato 2 large

Heavy Whipping Cream ¼ cup

Red chili powder ½ tsp.

Garam masala ½ tsp.

Ginger garlic paste 1 ½ tsp.

Oil 2 tbsp.

Salt to taste


Directions:

  1. Wash Spinach (Palak) in cold running water.
  2. Boil Spinach (Palak) Leaves for 8 minutes.
  3. Separate Spinach (Palak) from warter and grind it in a blender.
  4. Cut the Paneer into cubes and keep aside.
  5. Chop onion. Puree the tomatoes.
  6. Heat oil and pan
  7. Add the chopped onions. You may add pinch of salt to help onion cook faster.
  8. When onion changes color to pink, add the Ginger Garlic paste and cook for another 2 minutes.
  9. Next add the tomato puree, add chilli powder, and cook till oil leaves the pan.
  10. Now add the Garam Masala Powder and Spinach (Palak). Mix well.
  11. Add Paneer, add salt and cook for 5 minutes.
  12. Add Cream and cook till spinach gets thicker.


Serve with Chapati, Naan or Paratha.
