Paneer Pudina Tikka



Ingredients


350 gms paneer (cottage cheese)

½ cup Pudina (Mint) Leaves, chopped

100 ml Yogurt

1tsp Ginger Paste

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp pepper powder

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1/4 tsp asafetida (Hing)

½ tsp lemon juice

1 tsp vinegar

Oil for basting

Salt to taste


Directions:

  1. Cut Paneer into 1/2" cubes.
  2. To marinate paneer, in a bowl add paneer cubes, vinegar, black pepper and little salt. Cover it and marinate it for 30 minutes.
  3. To make Pudina marinate sauce, in a blender add Mint leaves , ginger paste, lemon juice, cumin powder, salt, red chili, garam masala and little water. Blend it to make fine paste.
  4. Remove extra water from yogurt with help of muslin cloth (Cheese Cloth).
  5. To this yogurt add red chili powder, asafetida, and mint paste. Mix well.
  6. Remove paneer from vinegar marinate and add them to yogurt. Remove extra moisture before adding paneer to yogurt. Rub this mixture all over paneer.
  7. Marinate for an hour.
  8. Preheat oven at 450 degree.
  9. You can use a baking tray to cook paneer or use a skewer.
  10. Baste with oil. Cook both sides for 4 minutes.

Serve Hot.
