Ingredients
350 gms paneer (cottage cheese)
½ cup Pudina (Mint) Leaves, chopped
100 ml Yogurt
1tsp Ginger Paste
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp asafetida (Hing)
½ tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vinegar
Oil for basting
Salt to taste
Directions:
- Cut Paneer into 1/2" cubes.
- To marinate paneer, in a bowl add paneer cubes, vinegar, black pepper and little salt. Cover it and marinate it for 30 minutes.
- To make Pudina marinate sauce, in a blender add Mint leaves , ginger paste, lemon juice, cumin powder, salt, red chili, garam masala and little water. Blend it to make fine paste.
- Remove extra water from yogurt with help of muslin cloth (Cheese Cloth).
- To this yogurt add red chili powder, asafetida, and mint paste. Mix well.
- Remove paneer from vinegar marinate and add them to yogurt. Remove extra moisture before adding paneer to yogurt. Rub this mixture all over paneer.
- Marinate for an hour.
- Preheat oven at 450 degree.
- You can use a baking tray to cook paneer or use a skewer.
- Baste with oil. Cook both sides for 4 minutes.
Serve Hot.
