Vegetable Manchurian, Dumplings cooked Indian Chinese Way




Ingredients:

For Dumplings:
Cornflour 2 tbsps.
Cabbage grated 2 cups
Carrot grated ½ cup
Oil For frying


For Gravy/Sauce:
Onion chopped ¼ cup
Chopped Green chilies 1 tbsp.
Chopped garlic 1 tbsp.
Sugar 1 tsp.
Pepper powder ½ tbsp.
Oil 2 tbsps.
Soya sauce 1 tbsp
Salt To taste
Cilantro for Garnishing..

Directions:

  1. Squeeze all water from grated cabbage. Take a bowl mix grated carrot, cornflour and grated cabbage. Mix well to form it to dough.
  2. Make small balls from this mixture. Deep fry these bowls until light brown.
  3. Heat oil in wok. Add onions, saute for 2 minutes, chopped Garlic and green chillis.
  4. Cook for another 1 minute.
  5. Add water, you can add more water if you want gravy or put little water to make this dish dry.
  6. Add pepper, Sugar, Soya Sauce and Salt. Bring it to a bowl.
  7. Thicken with cornflour dissolved in cold water. Add dumplings in the sauce.
  8. Garnish it with Cilantro.
