Ingredients:
For Pakora:
Besan (Gram flour) 1 cup
Red chili powder 1 tsp.
Chopped onion ¼ cup
Chopped potato ¼ cup
Ajwain 1 tsp.
Chopped ginger 1 tsp.
Baking powder ½ tsp.
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
For Kadhi:
yogurt 1 cup
Besan (Gram flour) ¼ cup
Dry red chili whole 2 medium.
Turmeric powder 1 tsp.
Asafoetida(Hing) A pinch
Fenugreek seeds 1 tsp.
Oil 2 tbsp.
Salt to taste
Directions:
- Take all pakora ingredients and mix 1/2 cup of water in it.
- Take a pan, heat oil for deep frying pakoras.
- Make small balls out of besan mixture and deep dry them till they get golden in color.
- Remove the pakoras on a towel paper. This will help removing extra oil from pakoras.
- In a bowl take yofurt. Whisk it and add garam flour into it. Make sure there are no lumps. Add salt, 3 cups of water and turmeric powder to this mixture.
- Take a pan, heat oil, add fenugreek seeds and dry chili. stir for minute. Add yogurt mixture in the pan.
- Bring it to boil. Put the flame to simmer and cook for 15 minutes. Keep stiring to make sure it does not stick ot bottom.
- Add fried pakoras to this sauce. Add red chili powder and cook for another 6 minutes.
Serve hot with Naan, Chapati, Paratha or Boiled Rice.
